Hi, friends! So, I bought this domain and toyed with the idea of blogging a few years ago when we were building our house. I thought I was too busy to keep up with it back then which… fair, I guess. But now I’m back for real and I can’t wait to dedicate some time to this each week.

Since I’ve been away…

We had a baby! And then another baby! We had two babies in 17 months and wow is it fun and also the best kind of chaos. H is 2.5 and can best be described as a hilarious, loving, headstrong leader. S turns 1 next week and he’s our “under the radar” kid. He’s quietly funny and he loves his mama. He was also born at 33 weeks and had some pretty serious complications, but all praise to Jesus he is doing much better now.

We moved!

When I originally started this page it was going to be about the home building process. I guess I dropped the ball there because we’ve already lived in our house for almost 3 years! We absolutely loved building and we would do it again in a heartbeat. We learned a lot and truthfully I’m still finishing decorating. Unpopular opinion perhaps, but I would rather have bare walls for years and years while I wait for the perfect pieces than to fill my home with things I don’t love. We have the best neighbors and we love our neighborhood.

Overall, a lot of life has happened

Like the rest of you, we’ve been through a lot in the past few years. Navigating a pandemic, job changes, death of loved ones, learning how to parent, and navigating some time in the PICU and NICU (more on that later). It’s been heavy, but I know we aren’t the only ones who have struggled. At the very same time we’ve experienced SO. MUCH. JOY. And I can’t wait to dive into that too.

So what is this?

To be totally honest, I’m not sure yet! I know a few areas I want to write about are things like motherhood, faith, grief, and a little shopping (beauty/fashion/home) content. It will evolve over time, I’m sure, and I would love your feedback as I hopefully grow this page. I know they say with blogging you need to find your niche, but none of us are one-dimensional and this page likely won’t be either.
